Yes. Magnatech Autoglass—we’re never going to change your safety features on your vehicle. If we’re going to do the job, we’re going to do the windshield and recalibrate it back to OEM specs because we want you to be safe and we want to cover our butt. That’s a giant liability issue.
We cannot change the safety features of your vehicle, and that is absolutely one of the biggest safety features on your vehicle. So even if someone tells us they “don’t use it,” the vehicle still has it, and it still needs to be right. The job isn’t complete unless the system is restored the way the manufacturer intended. That’s how we approach it: do it correctly, keep the customer safe, and avoid cutting corners on something that affects how the vehicle is designed to protect you.
Magnatech treats ADAS recalibration as mandatory after windshield replacement. They will restore the camera system to OEM specifications for safety and liability reasons, regardless of whether a customer claims they don’t use the feature.
