Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
Yeah, so we definitely offer both in-shop and mobile services. A lot of customers will see that we have a physical location, but they also see online reviews from mobile appointments and get a little confused, so they’ll call and ask, “Hey, can you come to me, or do I have to bring the car in?” The short answer is—yes, we can come to you. But there are a few things to keep in mind.
First off, our mobile service does book up quickly. It's super popular, especially for people who are at work, have kids, or just can’t get away during the day. But because we have to cover the costs of gas, insurance, and keeping that van on the road, there is a small mobile fee. It's typically between $40 to $60 depending on where you’re located. That fee helps offset those costs—it’s not a markup, just us staying in business.
Now, if you choose to bring your vehicle to the shop, you avoid that mobile fee entirely. Plus, we can usually get you in faster that way. In-shop appointments are typically a bit more flexible on our schedule. I always recommend the in-shop option when possible, just because you’re not paying the extra and we have full access to all our tools and equipment right here.
So, we’ll always give customers the choice. If mobile is more convenient for you and you're okay with the extra charge, we’ll get you scheduled. But if you want to save some money and potentially get in quicker, the shop is the way to go.
Magnatech Autoglass offers both in-shop and mobile auto glass services. While the shop can provide quicker appointments and avoid mobile fees, mobile service is available for added convenience. A modest mobile fee helps cover fuel and operational costs. In-shop services are typically faster and more affordable for the customer.
