Hey folks! This is Jake from Magnatech Auto Glass.

Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.

Today's question is:

"How long does a windshield replacement take?"

Answer:

If we’re driving on site to your house to do a windshield, the average windshield replacement is anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. That’s the typical working time for the replacement itself.

The reason we give that range is because every vehicle is a little different in how the trim comes off, how the old windshield is removed, and how everything goes back together. But in general, you’re not sitting around all day. We arrive, remove the damaged windshield, prep the area properly, set the new windshield, and reassemble what needs to be reassembled. The overall point is: this is usually a straightforward service in terms of time, and most customers can plan around a roughly one-hour window for the on-site replacement portion.

Summary:

A typical on-site windshield replacement usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the vehicle, and is not an all-day appointment.
