Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
Yeah, the best time to do it is going to be now. So, with the next couple months coming up being our most rainy months, uh I definitely recommend a better hydrophobic coating. So stuff like the store bought ones like O'Reilly's, Napo, where you can get like a RainX the the lasting time or sorry crap uh the um they only really last about a week or two as far as um use with them, but right now there's uh commercial coatings that we install on vehicles that can last 6 to 8 months, you know, on the on the long-term side. But uh coatings have really gone a long way. But, uh, to answer the question, yeah, right now would be the best time to do it is right before the rain starts coming out.
Magnatech Autoglass recommends applying water repellent coatings now, as the next few months will be rainy. They suggest using commercial coatings that can last 6 to 8 months, noting they are more effective than store-bought options like RainX, which only last a week or two
