Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
Okay. So, going into our current generation of auto gloss, nothing is cheap anymore. So, I'd say the correct answer to this is the older vehicles like pre20 2017, 2015, 2014 that don't have cameras or these the fancy technology that's in these newer windows, those are considered the cheaper windows now. So, if you had a Toyota Toyota Corolla from like 2005, a Honda Civic four-door from 2008, you know, these are considered cheaper than like your Toyota Honda or your uh Honda CRV with ADAS and it's a 2025. That's a $1,800 installation. So, just to use that as an example, most of the newer vehicles have more technology on it in return making it more expensive.
Magnatech Autoglass stated that newer vehicle models, particularly those post-2017 with advanced technology and cameras, have made windshield replacements significantly more expensive, with some installations reaching up to $1,800. They indicated that older vehicles, such as a 2005 Toyota Corolla or a 2008 Honda Civic, are considered cheaper to replace due to their lack of complex technology. Jake Ni affirmed that most modern makes and models have expensive windshields due to advanced technologies.
