Welcome to another Q&A session where I answer questions from y'all on the internet.
Today's question is:
So, does leaving my car parked near the airport possibly make the cracks worse in my So, I've never experienced that. In my experience, I would say no because it's not enough of vi of a vibration to affect chips or cracks in your area. But I will tell you one of the reason for, you know, to not leave your car for long amounts of time near an airport is there's a lot of vandalism in airport structures like that where the vehicle stays for, you know, a week, two weeks, more than two weeks at a time. I would definitely have somebody check up on it. We do a lot of aeroporter companies or like you know just mobile companies out near the airport. We do a lot of tempered glass out there. So definitely watch your vehicle. Definitely have a a camera that you can access by your phone or have a friend keep tabs on where you're gone.
Magnatech Autoglass debunked the myth that duct tape or nail polish remover can stop a crack from spreading (00:15:56). They also advised against deliberately trying to worsen a crack to force an insurance replacement, as insurance companies typically authorize replacement once a crack exceeds a certain length (00:19:20). They stated that airport noise vibrations are unlikely to worsen cracks but warned against parking in poorly lit or non-commuted areas in Federal Way, due to high crime and frequent tempered glass vandalism in that city (00:20:32) (00:24:59).
